No, and that's deliberate. Awesome Receipts works from receipts, so it captures what you actually bought — line items, tax, tips, and category — rather than just a merchant name and an amount on a statement. It also means we never ask for banking credentials.

Forward the email to your scanning address (scan@awesomereceipts.com) from the address you signed up with. Attachments and receipt emails are extracted on arrival — merchant, date, tax, total, and category — and appear in your receipt list with a confirmation reply.

Images (JPEG, PNG, WebP), PDFs — including multi-page ones — and iPhone HEIC photos, which are converted automatically. The receipt needs to be an attachment; if an email arrives without one, you get a reply explaining what to send instead of silence.

Receipt images are sent to a third-party AI vision model for extraction, and stored in our object storage. They are not sold, and they are not used to train models.
